The France global who arrived from champions Leicester City last summer, won the award ahead of Dele Alli, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa and Danny Rose.
Kante will look to continue his impressive performances this weekend against West Ham, before the Blues set their sights on a potential double ahead of next week's FA Cup quarter-final clash with Jose Mourinho's Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Conte also joined in the summer and his record of 20 league wins from 26 matches earned him the Best Manager in London award.
He has found a winning formula since moving to a 3-4-3 formation and Chelsea sit ten points clear of Tottenham at the top of the league.
There was some joy for those at Tottenham, however, as midfielder Alli picked up the award for the capital's young player of the year. The highly talented Tottenham midfielder beat off competition from his London rivals Hector Bellerin and Alex Iwobi to clinch the award.
It was also a night to remember for Frank Lampard, who was presented with a special award to mark his outstanding contribution to London Football.
Kante was a very influential member of the Leicester City squad that won the league title last season and has continued with his fine form for Chelsea this season.
