Five deputy  governors have rejected a prophecy by Primate Elijah Ayodele that they will run into trouble with their principals before the end of their tenures.

The spiritual head of the INRI Evangelistic Spiritual Church, had made the prophecy in an exclusive chat NAIJ.com, that the governors of Abia, Ebonyi, Kano, Sokoto and Taraba states will have issues with their deputies before the end of their terms in office. Ayodele explained that the governors and their deputies would have series of disagreements based on their political ambitions and they might end up betraying the trust and confidence reposed in them by the state governors. But the deputy governors of the aforementioned states have described the prophecy as an attempt to create rancour and disaffection in the polity. The deputy governor of Ebonyi state, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, in a statement issued on behalf of himself and the other deputy governors, said the prophecy was nothing but a figment of the imagination of the man who released it. “We make bold to state that this prophecy, like the ones before it, are fallacies meant to create tension, rancour and unnecessary friction in the polity. “We vehemently reject this so-called prophesy, which, in our own estimation, is nothing but a figment of the imagination of the man who released it.
“We all have had and still have very good working relationship with our bosses in our various states and do not see any reason for the predicted crisis.

“We urge the government and the good people in our various states to ignore Primate Elijah Ayodele for he knows not what he is saying or doing,” Igwe said. The deputy governor said the primate could not have heard from God because he has been in the business of releasing false prophecies at every turn in the politics of Nigeria and the world. “It was he who predicted that President Goodluck Jonathan would win the 2015 presidential election; it was he who predicted that Governor Ahmed el- Rufai would not win the governorship election in Kaduna State last year and it was the same man who recently predicted victory for Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party candidate in the just-concluded elections in the United States,” he said. Meanwhile, the unrest within the camp of the All Progressives Congress (APC) seems not to be nearing its end as two top members of the party are at loggerheads. Nigeria’s ex-vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had in an exclusive interview with Premium Times, stated that he was betrayed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state and the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. But in a statement signed by El-Rufai, the governor described Atiku as a liar and that the Adamawa strong man only brought out those allegations to malign his person. The governor also alleged that Abubakar is an expert in the dark arts of damaging other people through a campaign of lies from him and his media machine.
