The relay teammate, Carter was found in a re-tests of his sample to have taken the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said on Wednesday, meaning that the Jamaica's 4x100 metres relay winning team had won through drugs and must give back their gold medals.
However, Carter's lawyer, Stuart Stimpson in his statement told Reuters by telephone on Saturday that the sprinter will definitely lodge an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Bolt on the other hand was found to have sounded philosophical about the prospect of loosing a gold medal after he heard the news last June, he told Reuters in his comments that it is heartbreaking (the positive test) because over the years you've worked hard to accumulate gold medals and work hard to be a champion... but it's just one of those things. "Things happen in life, so when it's confirmed or whatever, if I need to give back my gold medal I'd have to give it back, it's not a problem for me.
And here we are after all, Bolt has lost one of his medal and hopefully, it wont be a problem for him after all he is still the fastest man on planet earth
